Earth Energy EV, a Mumbai-based electric startup has launched its first electric naked motorcycle, the Evolve Z, in India at Rs 1.30 lakh on-road. Bookings are currently open at Rs 1,000 and deliveries will commence from April. Like the Evolve R, this electric naked is also built on a modular platform, with a 5.3kW motor that’s capable of producing 56Nm of torque. The claimed range is 100km, and the bike can reach a claimed top speed of 95kmph. Using a conventional charging system, the battery takes 2.5 hours to charge whereas the 0-80 percent charging time drops to just 40 minutes using a fast charger. The bike is packed with features like an all-LED lighting system, 5-inch LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, anti-theft feature, ABS and the likes.
