The Hero Electric Nyx is a utilitarian electric scooter with a long wheelbase, ample floorboard space and split seat configuration. It is available in two variants: E5 which comes under Comfort Speed (LX) range that has a top speed limited to 25kmph. On the other hand, the HS500ER comes under the company’s City Speed (CX) range with a top speed of 45kmph.
Hero Electric Nyx Price:
Part of the company’s Comfort Speed (LX) series of electric scooters, the price of the Hero Electric Nyx begins from Rs 73,590 for the E5 variant, while the HS500ER under the City Speed (CX) series costs Rs 86,540. All prices, ex-showroom Delhi. The price of the latter includes the FAME II subsidy but the bookings for that variant are currently on hold.
Hero Electric Nyx Features:
The Hero Electric Nyx comes with a split seat setup in which the pillion seat can be raised and the space can be used to carry goods. The raised seat also acts as a cushioned backrest for the rider. The e-scooter features a digital instrument cluster, removable batteries, regenerative braking, LED headlight, USB port and an apron-mounted storage compartment.
Hero Electric Nyx E5 Motor:
On the Hero Electric Nyx E5, you will find a 250W BLDC hub motor. This hub motor can propel the scooter to a top speed of 25kmph. The 30Ah lithium-ion battery on the base variant is good to last 85km (claimed). On the other hand, the HS500ER variant is powered by a 600W hub motor with a 1.35kW peak power output, propelling the e-scooter to a top speed of 42kmph. It can cover 138km (claimed) per charge with the help of dual 30Ah lithium-ion battery packs. Both variants take 4-5 hours to charge fully.
Hero Electric Nyx Suspension & Brakes:
Underneath the boxy body of the Nyx, you will find a simple underbone chassis. A telescopic fork and twin shocks are used on the Nyx. You get small 10-inch alloy rims here with drum brakes at both ends. CBS is standard.
